Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 10 June 2026
Clear, plain-English terms covering how we build websites, payments, revisions, monthly support, hosting, and what we both agree to.
1.About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions explain how The Website Brothers works with clients.
Please read them before buying a website, monthly support plan, or any other service from us.
By paying an invoice, approving a quote, signing up to a monthly plan, or asking us to begin work, you agree to these terms.
These terms are designed to keep things clear, fair, and simple for both sides.
2.About The Website Brothers

A quote is only valid for the time stated on the quote. If no time is stated, the quote is valid for 14 days.
We may update our prices at any time, but this will not affect work already paid for unless the project scope changes.
7.Payments
For the £100 Starter Website, payment is normally required upfront before work begins.
For larger projects, we may ask for a deposit before work starts and a final payment before launch.
For monthly plans, payment is due monthly in advance unless agreed otherwise.
Invoices should be paid by the due date shown on the invoice.
We may pause work, delay launch, or stop support if payments are late.
8.VAT
VAT, if applicable, will be shown clearly before payment.
If we are not VAT registered, VAT will not be added to your invoice.
9.Starting Work
Work begins once we have received payment or deposit, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
For us to start properly, you may need to provide:
- Business name
- Logo if you have one
- Services
- Contact details
- Photos
- Social links
- Areas covered
- Current website if you have one
- Website goals
- Any text or content you want us to use
Delays in providing this information may delay the project.
10.Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, content, images, files, access details, and feedback when needed.
You are responsible for checking that the information you provide is accurate.
This includes:
- Business name
- Contact details
- Prices
- Service descriptions
- Legal information
- Opening hours
- Location information
- Photos
- Customer reviews
- Claims about your business
We are not responsible for incorrect information supplied by you.
11.Content, Images and Permissions
You must have the right to use any content, images, logos, reviews, videos, music, branding, or other material you send us.
You must not send us content that you do not own or do not have permission to use.
If you ask us to use third-party content, you are responsible for making sure it can legally be used.
We will not knowingly add fake reviews, fake awards, fake client logos, misleading claims, or content that appears dishonest.
12.Revisions
The £100 Starter Website includes one clear round of revisions.
A revision round means one collected set of feedback after you have reviewed the first version of the website.
Extra revision rounds may be quoted separately.
Revision requests should be clear and practical.
Examples of included revisions may include:
- Changing small sections of text
- Swapping images
- Adjusting section order
- Changing a call-to-action
- Correcting details
- Small layout adjustments
Examples of work that may cost extra include:
- Adding new pages
- Changing the whole design direction after approval
- Adding new features
- Adding booking systems
- Adding e-commerce
- Writing large amounts of new copy
- Repeated small changes after the revision round is complete
13.Project Timelines
We will always try to complete work as quickly as reasonably possible.
Any estimated timeline depends on:
- How quickly you provide information
- How quickly you provide feedback
- The size of the project
- Whether extra features are needed
- Whether third-party tools are involved
Timelines are estimates unless we agree a fixed deadline in writing.
We are not responsible for delays caused by late content, late feedback, missing access details, unpaid invoices, or third-party platforms.
14.Approval and Launch
Before launch, you are responsible for reviewing the website and telling us about any errors or changes needed.
Once you approve the website, we may launch it or help you launch it.
After launch, further changes may be charged separately unless they are included in your monthly support plan.
15.Monthly Support Plans
Monthly support plans may include website care, minor updates, hosting support, basic marketing help, local SEO support, or other agreed services.
The exact support included depends on the plan you choose.
The £19.99 Website Care plan includes up to 20 minutes of minor website changes per month.
Unused monthly support time does not roll over unless agreed in writing.
Monthly support does not include unlimited work.
Extra work outside your plan may be quoted separately.
16.Cancelling Monthly Support
You can cancel monthly support by giving notice in writing.
Unless agreed otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid monthly period.
We do not usually refund part-used monthly support periods.
If your website relies on hosting, software, tools, or support included in a monthly plan, cancelling the plan may affect your website setup. We will explain your options where possible.
17.Refunds and Cancellations
For custom website work, refunds depend on how much work has already been completed.
If work has not started, we may be able to cancel and refund the payment.
If work has started, we may keep a fair amount to cover the work already done.
If the website has already been delivered, approved, or launched, refunds are not normally available unless we agree otherwise or the law requires it.
If you are buying as a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.
If you want us to begin work quickly, you may be asked to confirm that you want work to start before any cancellation period ends.
18.Domains
Where possible, we recommend that clients own their own domain name.
We can guide you through buying or connecting a domain.
If we help register, connect, or manage a domain, you are responsible for renewal costs unless agreed otherwise.
We are not responsible for domain loss caused by missed renewals, incorrect details, expired payment methods, or third-party registrar issues outside our control.
19.Hosting
Hosting support may be included in a monthly support plan.
Hosting arrangements depend on the platform and setup used for your website.
If you cancel hosting support, you may need to arrange alternative hosting or platform access.
We will explain your options where possible.
We are not responsible for downtime caused by third-party hosting providers, domain providers, software platforms, internet issues, or services outside our control.
20.Website Ownership
Ownership depends on the setup used for your project.
You will own the final content and materials you provided, such as your logo, written information, photos, and business details.
The website design, layout, structure, build system, templates, tools, and technical setup may depend on the platform used.
If full ownership, export, transfer, or portability is important to you, tell us before the project starts so we can explain what is possible.
21.Third-Party Tools
Your website may use third-party tools or platforms.
This may include:
- Website builders
- Hosting platforms
- Domain registrars
- Analytics tools
- Forms
- Booking systems
- Payment providers
- Email tools
- SEO tools
- Plugins
- Apps
- Google services
Third-party tools may have their own terms, pricing, limits, and availability.
We are not responsible for changes, downtime, price increases, account issues, or technical problems caused by third-party platforms.
22.SEO and Google
The £100 Starter Website includes basic SEO setup.
This may include page title, meta description, heading structure, basic page content structure, mobile-friendly layout, and simple search-friendly foundations.
We do not guarantee Google rankings, traffic, enquiries, sales, or specific results.
Search performance depends on many factors, including competition, content quality, website history, reviews, local signals, backlinks, Google updates, and ongoing marketing.
Any SEO or local SEO work is designed to improve your foundations and opportunities, not guarantee a specific result.
23.Marketing Support
Marketing support may include basic guidance, website improvements, local SEO support, content suggestions, Google Business Profile guidance, or other agreed activity.
Marketing results are not guaranteed.
We cannot promise a specific number of leads, enquiries, rankings, views, clicks, or sales.
24.Acceptable Use
You must not ask us to build, host, publish, promote, or support anything unlawful, misleading, harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or dishonest.
We may refuse or stop work if we believe a project is unsuitable, unlawful, unsafe, or against our values.
We will not knowingly create fake reviews, fake testimonials, fake client logos, fake awards, or misleading claims.
25.Access Details and Security
You may need to give us access to accounts, platforms, websites, domains, hosting, email, or third-party tools.
You are responsible for making sure access is authorised.
You should not send passwords through insecure channels where avoidable.
We recommend using secure password sharing tools where possible.
You are responsible for keeping your own accounts secure after the project is complete.
26.Backups
We may keep working copies of project files or website versions where practical, but we do not guarantee permanent backups unless this is included in your support plan or agreed in writing.
You should keep copies of important content, images, login details, and business files.
27.Portfolio Use
Unless you ask us not to, we may show your completed website in our portfolio, social media, or marketing materials.
We will only use public-facing work and will not share private business information without permission.
If you do not want us to show your project, tell us in writing.
28.Communication
We may communicate by email, phone, WhatsApp, online forms, or other agreed channels.
You agree to respond within a reasonable time when we need information, approval, or feedback.
If we cannot reach you for a long period, the project may be paused.
29.Paused or Abandoned Projects
If we are waiting for information, feedback, approval, or payment from you for more than 30 days, we may pause the project.
If a project is inactive for more than 60 days without agreement, we may treat it as abandoned.
Restarting an abandoned project may require a new quote or restart fee.
30.Liability
We will take reasonable care when providing our services.
We are not responsible for:
- Loss of profit
- Loss of sales
- Loss of business
- Loss of rankings
- Loss of data
- Website downtime caused by third parties
- Problems caused by client changes
- Problems caused by incorrect information supplied by you
- Third-party platform failures
- Missed domain renewals not managed by us
- Issues caused by unpaid invoices or cancelled services
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
31.Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time.
The latest version will be published on our website.
For active projects, the terms in place when you approved the quote or paid the invoice will usually apply unless we agree otherwise.
32.Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us first so we can try to put things right.
Email: [Add contact email]
Please include:
- Your name
- Business name
- Project details
- What the issue is
- What outcome you are looking for
We will review the issue and reply as soon as reasonably possible.
33.Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales unless another arrangement is required by law.
